TIRTA EMPUL, THE HOLLY WATER TEMPLE

Tirta Empul Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Bali, famous for its natural holy spring water used for spiritual purification rituals. Located in Tampaksiring village near Ubud, the temple was built around 962 AD during the Warmadewa Dynasty. “Tirta Empul” means “holy water spring,” and the temple is an important spiritual site for Balinese Hindus.
