Besakih Temple, also known as the “Mother Temple of Bali,” is the largest and holiest Hindu temple complex on the island. The temple is located on the slopes of Mount Agung, Bali’s highest volcano, in Karangasem Regency. The complex consists of more than 80 temples and has been an important spiritual center for Balinese Hindu people for over 1,000 years.
