BATUAN VILLAGE TEMPLE
Also called: Pura Puseh Desa Batuan is one of the oldest and most beautiful Hindu temples in Bali. Located in Batuan Village, Gianyar Regency, this temple is famous for its traditional Balinese architecture, detailed stone carvings, and spiritual atmosphere. The temple was founded around the 11th century and is an important cultural and religious site for the local Balinese community.
1. How to Get There
The temple is located in Batuan Village, Sukawati, Gianyar, between Denpasar and Ubud. It is very easy to reach by car or scooter.
- From Ubud: around 20–30 minutes drive
- From Ngurah Rai International Airport: around 1–1.5 hours drive depending on traffic
- From Kuta or Seminyak: around 1–1.5 hours drive
The temple sits beside the main road, making it a popular stop during Ubud and Gianyar tours.
